NCVM

Dependent on your requirements parts are moved to either the NCVM area or paint area. NCVM provides a chrome-like look in a variety of colors to the plastic.

Chief Mold has one of the largest NCVM systems in Southern China. This highly sophisticated equipment is produced in Germany and we can process thousands of parts per hour dependent on size and masking.

Spindle Painting

We have an automated spindle paint line that has the capacity to handle thousands of parts per hour. Customers may choose per pantone or color chip match. We will provide upper and lower control limits to assure everything remains within your tolerances.

The majority of our customers choose to have a UV top coat added for protection to their products. All of the various coats from prime to top coat and drying can be applied in a single pass of the spindle line, all fully automated and consistently controlled.

Silkscreening and Pad Printing

After paint the parts then are moved to either silkscreen or pad printing for the application of logo’s or any special marking needed.

With artwork we can reproduce your logo or tradename exactly as you want it provided. Multi-color, single color with UV topcoat to help resist wear.

Robot painting

For large parts Chief Mold has a 6 axis robot painter where the arm and the part can be moved and rotated to assure an even, consistent paint application.

Waterbase painting

Many Customers require an environmentally friendly painting system to meet global requirements and expectations. Though in the past there were challenges associated with water based painting on plastics, Chief Mold  invested in equipment and perfected the process to the point it rivals solvent based paints in production and quality.

Some of the most stringent requirements in this area are driven by the Mobile Device industry and we meet the requirements for customers providing devices to companies such as AT&T, Verizon and Sprint.
